Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Amine transporter. Terminates the action of noradrenaline by its high affinity sodium-dependent reuptake into presynaptic terminals.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Differences in gene expression in the mouse frontal cortex with life-long norepinephrine transporter knock-out were studied using a whole-genome microarray approach PMID: 26002194
  2. inhibition of p38 MAPK or the manipulation of NET-Thr(30) motif/phosphorylation via a TAT peptide strategy prevents cocaine-induced NET up-regulation, locomotor sensitization, and conditioned place preference PMID: 25724654
  3. this is the first report which suggests the beneficial effect of modulation of TRPV1 receptors and NET in Chronic cerebral hypoperfusion vascular dementia PMID: 24597602
  4. daily sympathetic activation induced by mild chronic stress was unable to induce bone loss, unless NET activity was blocked. PMID: 24005671
  5. NET dysfunction is sufficient to produce a postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome phenotype. PMID: 23580201
  6. Norepinephrine transporter has a greater role in determining baseline analgesia and other analgesic effects in mice than serotonin transporter. PMID: 21129446
  7. NET expression is essential for development and/or survival of some (5-HT- and calretinin-expressing), but not all (nNOS-expressing), of these neurons. PMID: 21148012
  8. propose that amplified norepinephrine transporter function in rictor KO mice enhances accumulation of both norepinephrine and dopamine within the noradrenergic neuron PMID: 20543991
  9. Report a protocol to monitor NET transport rate at the level of the single nerve terminal varicosity using a fluorescent substrate. PMID: 20136837
  10. We identified that gene expression in neuronal cortical cells involves increased histone hyperacetylation on the Slc6a2 promoter, which is commensurate with the recruitment of SP1 and RNA Polymerase II and is inversely correlated with H3K9 trimethylation. PMID: 20107077
  11. Data demonstrate that estrogen exerts significant modulatory effects on olfactory bulb function through modulation of tyrosine hydroxylase, dopamine transporter and norepinephrine transporter expression. PMID: 12480184
  12. NET function may be a physiologically relevant regulatory element in embryonic development. PMID: 12876425
  13. NET deficiency increases extraneuronal levels of NE, dopamine, & epinephrine. The impact of this hyperadrenergic state is greatest in the periphery & is manifested by high blood pressure & excessive tachycardia with wakefulness & physical activity. PMID: 15337696
  14. this is the first report to suggest that the norepinephrine transporter gene is one of many possible genetic factors influencing ethanol sensitivity in ILS, ISS, and LXS RI mouse strains PMID: 16269905
  15. Knockout mice showed enhanced binding of the selective alpha(2)drenergic antagonist [(3)H]RX821002 in several brain regions PMID: 16417582
  16. The effects of DAT KO in animal models of depression are larger than those produced by NET or SERT KO, and unlikely to be simply the result of the confounding effects of locomotor hyperactivity. PMID: 18690111
  17. a novel triple mutation that retains close to wild-type transport function but displays a 37-fold decrease in cocaine sensitivity and 24-fold decrease in desipramine sensitivity. PMID: 18824182
  18. Data further suggest deregulation of signaling pathways in the development and/or function of the NET-deficient peripheral, central and enteric nervous systems. PMID: 19356247
  19. conditioned locomotion was not observed in DAT KO mice, and was reduced in SERT KO and NET KO mice. PMID: 19482066
  20. resistance of the NET KO mice to the stress-induced depression-associated behaviors and biochemical changes highlight the importance of noradrenergic pathways in the maintenance of mood PMID: 19694905
