Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Suppresses food intake, delays gastric emptying and decreases heat-induced edema. Might represent an endogenous ligand for maintaining homeostasis after stress.
Gene References into Functions
  1. findings collectively suggest that the MeA Ucn3-CRF-R2 system modulates the ability of mice to cope with social challenges PMID: 27428651
  2. Ucn3 KO mice displayed significantly increased ethanol intake and preference compared with WT. There were no long-term effects of chronic pain on alcohol drinking behavior, regardless of genotype. PMID: 25451237
  3. This study aims to investigate the cellular localization of CRF and UCNs in the ileum and to explore whether and how this cellular expression is altered in conditions of intestinal Schistosoma mansoni-induced inflammation. PMID: 25358399
  4. The paracrine actions of Ucn3 activate a negative feedback loop that promotes somatostatin release to ensure the timely reduction of insulin secretion upon normalization of plasma glucose. PMID: 26076035
  5. UCN3 expression enhances glucose disposal and signalling in muscle by an autocrine/paracrine mechanism that is separate from its pro-hypertrophic effects. PMID: 25122003
  6. Leptin regulates corticotropin-releasing factor and urocortin 2/3 mRNA in hypothalamic neurons. PMID: 24083959
  7. Urocortin 3 acting on CRFR2 in skeletal muscle of Ucn3(+) mice results in a metabolic phenotype, with lean body composition and protection against diet-induced obesity and hyperglycaemia. PMID: 21667214
  8. In this study, the intracerebroventricularly administered Ucn3 exerted an inhibitory effect on food intake, although the potency for decreasing food intake differed with the experimental conditions. PMID: 21061090
  9. The results of this study suggested a novel role for UCN3 and CRH-R2 related to the processing of social cues and to the establishment of social memories. PMID: 20610744
  10. demonstrate the involvement of the hypothalamic neuropeptide Urocortin-3 in modulating septal and hypothalamic nuclei responsible for anxiety-like behaviors and metabolic functions, respectively. PMID: 20404164
  11. pancreatic Ucn III acting through CRFR2 is involved in the local regulation of glucagon and insulin secretion. PMID: 12810578
  12. CRFR2beta selective Ucn-II or Ucn-III will protect cardiomyocytes and the ex vivo Langendorff perfused rat heart from ischemia reperfusion injury by activation of ERK1/2-p42, 44. PMID: 12970163
  13. Mouse Urocortin III is expressed in brain regions involved in stress-related behaviours, and its expression in the hypothalamus increases following restraint. Administration of mUcnIII stimulates reduced anxiety. PMID: 15117334
  14. endogenous Ucn 3 in the pancreas is induced under excessive caloric conditions and acts locally to augment insulin production PMID: 17360501
