Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Inhibits translation initiation and cap-dependent translation. May excert its function by hindering the interaction between EIF4A1 and EIF4G. Inhibits the helicase activity of EIF4A. Modulates the activation of JUN kinase. Down-regulates the expression of MAP4K1, thus inhibiting events important in driving invasion, namely, MAPK85 activation and consequent JUN-dependent transcription. May play a role in apoptosis. Tumor suppressor. Inhibits tumor promoter-induced neoplastic transformation. Binds RNA.
Gene References into Functions
  1. The PDCD4-mediated regulation of autophagy was modulated by ATG5. PMID: 29241069
  2. PDCD4 is upregulated at the onset of differentiation of L6 mytubes. Myoblasts lacking PDCD4 showed impaired myotube formation. PMID: 28899909
  3. miRNA21 overexpression in monolayercultured postnatal rat spinal cord neurons promoted neurite outgrowth and downregulated protein expression levels of PDCD4. PMID: 28656242
  4. Findings revealed the role of miR-499-5p in protecting the cardiomyocytes against apoptosis induced by acute myocardial infarction (AMI) via its direct target PDCD4, which providing evidence for the miR-499-5p/PDCD4 pathway as a potential therapeutic target for patients with AMI. PMID: 27231854
  5. #NAME? PMID: 28750063
  6. cardiac progenitor cell-derived exosomal miR-21 had an inhibiting role in the apoptosis pathway through downregulating PDCD4. PMID: 27336721
  7. Ischemic postconditioning (IPC)-regulated miR-499 plays an important role in IPC-mediated cardiac protection against myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury by targeting PDCD4. PMID: 27832626
  8. The apoptosis process enhanced by overexpression of SOX6 or PDCD4, was rescued by the cardiac-abundant miR-499 in rat cardiomyocytes. PMID: 26659076
  9. modulation of the NF-kappaB/miR-21/PDCD4 pro-apoptotic pathway by DCA was also shown to occur in the rat liver in vivo. PMID: 26621219

  11. Pdcd4 was up-regulated in lung, spleen, and blood cells from rats with antigen-induced pulmonary inflammation. Pdcd4 expression influenced markers of macrophage alternative activation. RNAi suppressed this and lessened airway remodeling. PMID: 25097194
  12. PDCD4 depletion by RNA interference had no significant effect on phenylalanine incorporation into myotube mixed proteins in control cells but further suppressed (30%) this measure in nutrient-deprived cells. PMID: 24405715
  13. mediates inhibitory effects of ethanol on protein synthesis in primary cortical neurons and developing brain PMID: 22757755
  14. when myoblasts were grown in amino acid- and serum-free medium, phenylalanine incorporation into proteins in cells depleted of PDCD4 more than doubled the values in cells with a normal level of PDCD4 PMID: 21406616
  15. expression of the Pdcd4 gene in pancreatic beta and ductal cells was found to be stimulated in a comparable manner by either glucagon-like peptide 1, insulin, and by high glucose concentrations PMID: 20871477
  16. miR-21 has a protective effect on myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury by reducing cardiac cell apoptosis via its target gene PDCD4. PMID: 20219857
