Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
May play a role in neuropeptide signaling processes. Ligand for LGR7, relaxin-3 receptor-1 and relaxin-3 receptor-2.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Relaxin-3/RXFP3 signaling within the central amygdala contributes to yohimbine-induced reinstatement of alcohol seeking. We therefore suggest that the relaxin-3/RXFP3 system represents a legitimate potential target for the treatment of both anxiety and substance use disorders. PMID: 28726252
  2. Study demonstrates that female rats are more sensitive to the effects of chronic i.c.v. infusion of relaxin-3 (RLN3) on body weight, fat mass and food intake compared to male rats. Female RLN3-infused rats displayed higher body weight gain and perigonadal fat mass and more sustained hyperphagia than male rats during 14 days of treatment. PMID: 27791297
  3. food intake response stronger in females PMID: 25406021
  4. Diet-induced obese rats show an increase in relaxin-3 expression in the brain and refeeding after food deprivation may enhance the orexigenic effects of relaxin-3 by rapid upregulation of the expression of RXFP3 PMID: 24629399
  5. The present study showed that relaxin-3 is secreted from stromal-vascular fraction cells and that it regulates lipid accumulation in adipocytes. PMID: 24345292
  6. These results suggest that relaxin 3 acts as an anxiolytic peptide and that the downstream pathways mediated by its receptors may be potential candidates for the treatment of anxieties in the future PMID: 23697547
  7. These data suggest that relaxin-3/RXFP3 signaling regulates alcohol intake and relapse-like behavior, adding to current knowledge of the brain chemistry of reward-seeking. PMID: 24297931
  8. An increase in the expression of orexigenic relaxin-3 and misbalanced hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis activity may contribute to the overeating and increased body weight seen in chronically stressed and repeatedly food-restricted female rats. PMID: 23425370
  9. there was no desensitization of the feeding response over the treatment period and no apparent deleterious health effects, indicating that targeting the relaxin-3-RXFP3 system may be an effective long-term therapy for eating disorders. PMID: 23135160
  10. This study confirmed the topography of the robust RLN3 projections to the medial septum, ventrolateral division of the rostral lateral septum, ventral division of the caudal lateral septum, the septofimbrial and triangular septal nuclei of the rat. PMID: 22134882
  11. The concentration of Rln-3 was below the level of detection in rat ovaries during orthodontic tooth movement. PMID: 21410550
  12. GPCR135 (SALPR) is the receptor for relaxin-3 Rln3 is the only member of the insulin/relaxin superfamily that can activate GPCR135. In situ hybridization showed that relaxin-3 mRNA is predominantly expressed in the dorsomedial ventral tegmental nucleus of PMID: 14522968
  13. Relaxin 3 produced in the nucleus incertus is released from nerve endings and is involved in the regulation of the stress response. PMID: 15845093
  14. Results suggest that relaxin could be an endogenous cardioprotective factor in ischemic heart diseases. PMID: 16112403
  15. relaxin-3 and GPCR153 have roles in food intake and energy expenditure in rats PMID: 16764952
  16. RLX3 is the endogenous ligand for GPCR135 in rat brain and provide evidence for broad modulatory activity of RLX3 in behavioral activation relating to autonomic and neuroendocrine control of metabolism and reproduction PMID: 17071007
  17. function of relaxin 3 neurons in the brain is influenced by the serotonergic activity PMID: 17870193
  18. Relaxin-3 may act as a central signal linking nutritional status and reproductive function. PMID: 18492777
  19. Our result raises the possibility that C-INSL7 acts as a signaling molecule independent from INSL7 in the rat CNS. PMID: 19373968
