Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Description

IL-20 signals through heterodimeric receptor complexes to regulate epithelial innate immunity and inflammatory tissue remodeling, making precise recombinant forms essential for dissecting its biology. This tag-free human IL-20, encompassing the full mature sequence (residues 25–176), demonstrates an ED50 below 0.5 ng/ml in a proliferation assay using IL-20Rα/IL-20Rβ co-transfected BaF3 cells, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 2.0 × 10⁶ IU/mg — potency that supports use in JAK/STAT and MAPK pathway activation studies, keratinocyte or monocyte functional assays, and as a quantitative reference standard in cytokine detection platforms. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts, providing a suitable basis for in vivo inflammation models and primary immune cell experiments where confounding innate immune activation must be excluded. Purity above 95% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this endotoxin profile, also satisfies the criteria typical for antibody development workflows including immunization, ELISA coating, and Western blot controls.
