The SLC38A2 antibody is produced in the rabbit immunized with the partial recombinant protein corresponding to the topological domain of human SLC38A2 protein. It is available as the unconjugated IgG isoform. It only reacts with human SLC38A2 protein. Its purity is 95%+ using protein G purified. It has been validated for use in ELISA, WB, IHC, and IF applications. The target protein of this antibody is SLC38A2 protein, which is expressed both in the fetus and placenta and plays a crucial role in the control of fetal growth and development.

Target Background

Functions as a sodium-dependent amino acid transporter. Mediates the saturable, pH-sensitive and electrogenic cotransport of neutral amino acids and sodium ions with a stoichiometry of 1:1. May function in the transport of amino acids at the blood-brain barrier and in the supply of maternal nutrients to the fetus through the placenta.
