After immunizing mice with the recombinant IFNLR1 protein (21-228aa), B cells were isolated from the mouse spleen and fused with myeloma cells to create hybridomas. The hybridomas that produced the IFNLR1 monoclonal antibody were selected and then cultured in the mouse abdominal cavity. The IFNLR1 monoclonal antibody was purified from the collected mouse ascites using protein A affinity chromatography. It has a purity of over 95%. The resulting antibody is highly specific to human IFNLR1 protein and is suitable for ELISA and IF applications.
IFNLR1 mainly mediates the antiviral response to viral infections. Upon activation by IFN-lambda, IFNLR1 forms a heterodimer with the IL10RB protein, leading to the activation of the JAK-STAT signaling pathway. This results in the transcriptional upregulation of interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs) that are involved in innate immunity and antiviral defense. Additionally, IFNLR1 signaling has also been implicated in various inflammatory diseases, such as psoriasis and inflammatory bowel disease.
