The SEMA4D monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing mice with recombinant human SEMA4D protein (22-734aa), fusing the B cells from the immunized mouse spleen with myeloma cells, and selecting and culturing the SEMA4D antibody-secreting hybridomas. The SEMA4D monoclonal antibody is purified from the mouse ascites using protein G affinity chromatography, resulting in a purity of over 95%. This mouse monoclonal antibody reacts specifically with human SEMA4D protein and can be used for ELISA, WB, and FC applications.
SEMA4D protein, also known as CD100, plays a role in the regulation of cell migration, axonal guidance, and angiogenesis, as well as in immune cell function, including T-cell activation and regulation of dendritic cell migration. SEMA4D is known to interact with its receptor, Plexin-B1, to mediate the repulsion of axonal growth cones during neural development. SEMA4D has also been implicated in cancer development and progression, as it is overexpressed in various types of cancer cells and promotes tumor growth and metastasis.
