Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Linearity
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human Col Ⅲ in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Description

Collagen Type III is a major fibrillar collagen that maintains the structural integrity of various tissues, particularly in skin, blood vessels, and internal organs. This collagen subtype is essential for tissue elasticity and is commonly found in reticular fibers that provide scaffolding for cellular organization. Col III is frequently studied in research related to wound healing, fibrosis, cardiovascular disease, and connective tissue disorders, as its levels can indicate tissue remodeling processes and pathological conditions.

The Human Collagen Type III ELISA Kit (CSB-E04799h) uses a quantitative sandwich measurement principle to detect Col III in human serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. This assay offers a detection range of 12.5 ng/mL to 800 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 3.12 ng/mL. The protocol requires 50-100 μL sample volume and can be completed within 1-5 hours, with detection performed at 450 nm wavelength.

Application Examples

Note: The following application examples are drawn from a selection of publications citing this product. For additional applications, please refer to the full list of references in the "Citations" section.

This ELISA kit has been used in research examining collagen metabolism and tissue remodeling processes. Studies have applied the kit to quantify human type III collagen levels in contracture tissue samples obtained during arthroscopic surgical procedures, showing its application in orthopedic and musculoskeletal research contexts.
