Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human vaspin in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

SERPINA12, also known as vaspin (visceral adipose-specific serine protease inhibitor), is a member of the serpin superfamily that functions as a serine protease inhibitor. This adipokine is primarily expressed in visceral adipose tissue and plays important roles in metabolic regulation, insulin sensitivity, and inflammation. Research has shown its involvement in glucose homeostasis and its potential as a biomarker for metabolic disorders, making it a valuable target for studies examining obesity, diabetes, and related metabolic conditions.
The Human Visceral adipose-specific serine protease inhibitor, vaspin ELISA Kit (CSB-E09771h) uses a quantitative sandwich measurement principle for detecting SERPINA12 in human samples. This kit works with serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates with a detection range of 31.25 pg/mL to 2000 pg/mL and sensitivity of 7.8 pg/mL. The assay requires 50-100 μL sample volume, operates at 450 nm detection wavelength, and can be completed within 1-5 hours.
Application Examples
Note: The following application examples are drawn from a selection of publications citing this product. For additional applications, please refer to the full list of references in the "Citations" section.
This ELISA kit has been used in exercise physiology research to measure plasma vaspin levels in intervention studies examining the effects of resistance training programs on metabolic parameters. The kit allows researchers to quantify vaspin concentrations alongside other metabolic biomarkers to track changes following structured exercise interventions.
• Exercise intervention studies - Measurement of plasma vaspin levels before and after resistance training programs to evaluate exercise-induced changes in adipokine profiles
• Metabolic research - Measurement of vaspin concentrations in conjunction with lipid profiles, glucose metabolism markers, and insulin resistance parameters
• Biomarker correlation studies - Analysis of vaspin relationships with anthropometric measurements, body composition, and other metabolic indicators in controlled intervention settings
