Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of rat IL-16 in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

The rat IL16 Elisa kit is suitable for the quantitative measurement of rat IL16 in serum, plasma, or tissue homogenates. This assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique and enzyme-substrate chromogenic reaction. The color develops positively to the amount of rat IL16 in samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. This kit displays many advantages, including high sensitivity, strong specificity, good linearity, high precision and recovery, as well as lot-to-lot consistency.
IL16, formerly known as lymphocyte chemoattractant factor, serves as a proinflammatory factor chemotactic for immune cells, including T cells, monocytes, and eosinophils. As a pro-inflammatory cytokine, IL-16 plays a pivotal role in initiating innate and adaptive immune responses and assists in generating a local inflammatory response in vertebrates. It acts through CD4 as its signal-transducing receptor and is upregulated in allergic responses in nasal tissues and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of histamine-challenged asthma patients. IL16 plays a key role in inflammatory diseases as well as in tumorigenesis of osteosarcoma (OS).
