Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of rat PCX in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

CUSABIO's rat podocalyxin (PCX) ELISA kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of rat PCX in serum, urine, or cell culture supernates. This assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique in combination with the enzyme-substrate chromogenic reaction to quantify the analyte in the sample. The color develops positively to the amount of PCX in samples. The color intensity is measured at 450 nm via a microplate reader.
PCX, also called PODXL, is a type I membrane mucoprotein abundantly presented in the podocytes of kidney glomeruli where it plays an important role in maintaining the structural organization of the kidney glomeruli and normal plasma filtration. Dominant and recessive mutations in PODXL are linked to human kidney disease. Abnormal expression of PODXL has been implicated in a range of cancers. PODXL is upregulated on tumors with high metastatic index. The presence of PODXL is associated with poor outcomes, thus emerging as an important prognostic and theragnostic marker in several human cancers.
