Target Background

Function
Involved in the regulation of endocytosis and in several stages of intracellular trafficking. Together with SNX4, involved in autophagosome assembly by regulating trafficking and recycling of phospholipid scramblase ATG9A.

  1. Overexpression of SNX7 in HEK293T cells reduces the levels of secreted Abeta and beta-cleaved N-terminal APP fragments (sAPPbeta). Moreover, SNX7 overexpression caused a significant reduction of the steady-state levels of APP as well as of the cell surface APP levels. PMID: 29080748
