Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Since they lack a putative transactivation domain, the small Mafs behave as transcriptional repressors when they dimerize among themselves. However, they seem to serve as transcriptional activators by dimerizing with other (usually larger) basic-zipper proteins, such as NFE2, NFE2L1 and NFE2L2, and recruiting them to specific DNA-binding sites. Small Maf proteins heterodimerize with Fos and may act as competitive repressors of the NFE2L2 transcription factor. Transcription factor, component of erythroid-specific transcription factor NFE2L2. Activates globin gene expression when associated with NFE2L2. May be involved in signal transduction of extracellular H(+).
Gene References into Functions
  1. Expression of MAFG increases in cells and tissues with cholestasis, as well as in human cholangiocarcinoma and hepatocellular carcinoma specimens; high expression levels correlate with tumor progression and reduced survival time. PMID: 29733835
  2. In condition of hypoxia, MAFG induction correlated with reduced levels of miR-128. This lead to increased mRNA levels of HMOX-1 and x-CT for blunting stress. Overall, these findings identify MAFG as novel direct target of miR-128. PMID: 29138682
  3. MAFG is a direct target gene of miRNA-7.The direct regulation of MAFG through miR-7 and their involvement in the development of cisplatin resistance in human tumor cells. PMID: 29158814
  4. PARP-1 serves as a transcriptional coactivator, upregulating the transcriptional activity of Nrf2 by enhancing the interaction among Nrf2, MafG, and the the antioxidant response element. PMID: 24140708
  5. Results show that BRAF(V600E)-mediated upregulation of MAFG is required for transcriptional silencing of MLH1 in colorectal neoplasm. PMID: 25219500
  6. MAF genes have different levels of biological and genetic relevance. Besides, MAFF and MAFG could be associated with the susceptibility to develop CML. PMID: 24118457
  7. These findings demonstrate that a combination of p45NF-E2, Maf G, and Maf K is a key determinant of both megakaryopoiesis and thrombopoiesis. PMID: 22855609
  8. MAFG is a target gene of the BACH1 transcription factor according to ChIP-seq analysis in HEK 293 cells. PMID: 21555518
  9. This study thus manifests that a clear set of rules pertaining to the cis-acting element determine whether a given Maf-recognition elements preferentially associates with MafG homodimer or with MafG:Nrf2 heterodimer. PMID: 16716189
