Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info The following tags are available.
N-terminal His-tagged
Tag-Free
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form Lyophilized powder
Buffer before Lyophilization Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

and FAQs
Protein FAQs
Storage Condition Store at -20°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
(From Uniprot)
Appears to regulate cell growth through interactions with the extracellular matrix and cytokines. Binds calcium and copper, several types of collagen, albumin, thrombospondin, PDGF and cell membranes. There are two calcium binding sites; an acidic domain that binds 5 to 8 Ca(2+) with a low affinity and an EF-hand loop that binds a Ca(2+) ion with a high affinity.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Data suggest that reversion-inducing-cysteine-rich protein with kazal motifs (Reck) and SPARC Glycoprotein (Sparc) seem to play a role during ovarian dynamics: Reck as a possible inhibitor and Sparc as an inducer of matrix metalloproteinases (Mmps). PMID: 30424792
  2. this study shows that SPARC paucity alleviates superoxide-mediated oxidative stress, apoptosis, and autophagy in diabetogenic hepatocytes PMID: 28499910
  3. Our in vitro and ex vivo data show osteonectin expression during the calcification process and suggest its potential role as procalcifying factor PMID: 27339669
  4. opposite expression of SPARC in the diabetic liver and pancreas may be related to inflammation and immune cell infiltration, degrees of apoptosis and fibrosis, cytoprotective machinery, and cellular insulin levels PMID: 26110898
  5. SPARC triggers a cell-autonomous program of synapse elimination in cholinergic neurons that likely occurs when protein production peaks during normal development. PMID: 26420865
  6. SPARC is involved in obesity-induced adipose insulin resistance and may serve as a potential target in the treatment of obesity and obesity-related insulin resistance. PMID: 23910024
  7. These results provide insights into age-related SPARC resistance in skeletal muscle progenitor cells, which may lead to sarcopenia. PMID: 24245505
  8. The spatio-temporal expression of Decorin, Semaphorin6D, SPARC, Spry-1 and Tsukushi in developing prostate is described and observed similar mesenchymal expression patterns in rat and human. PMID: 22880013
  9. We show that nanomolar concentrations of SPARC favour a more efficient synapse formation and increase short term depression in single cell cholinergic microcultures. PMID: 22306863
  10. These results suggest that, although SPARC plays a role in regulating skeletal muscle progenitor cells (SMPC) function, SMPCs become refractory to the action of SPARC with age. PMID: 22289652
  11. increase in SPARC may be maladaptive and lead to a progressive reduction in podocyte number, thus fueling the future development of glomerulosclerosis PMID: 16093428
