Reconstitution We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Target Background

Function
Component of a ribosome-associated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) translocon complex involved in multi-pass membrane protein transport into the ER membrane and biogenesis. Together with SEC61 and TMCO1, forms the lipid-filled cavity at the center of the translocon where TMEM147 may insert hydrophobic segments of mutli-pass membrane proteins from the lumen into de central membrane cavity in a process gated by SEC61, and TMCO1 may insert hydrophobic segments of nascent chains from the cytosol into the cavity. Acts as a negative regulator of CHRM3 function, most likely by interfering with its trafficking to the cell membrane. Negatively regulates CHRM3-mediated calcium mobilization and activation of RPS6KA1/p90RSK activity.
