Two days' trip to Yichang
On a sunny morning, some of the staff in Cusabio members set off for Yichang, an excellent tourist city in China. Although it was a little bit hot, we were very excited. Along the way, we had so much cheers and laughter.
We reached Zigui at noon, which is the hometown of Wang Zhaojun, one of the four most beautiful women in Chinese history. It is said that when Wang Zhaojun left her hometown, she saw a flock of wild geese flying far away, which reminded her endless homesickness. She couldn't help playing the lute. The wild geese heard the tweedle and saw her beautiful looks, forgot to shake their wings, and eventually dropped down. Therefore, Wang Zhaojun got the laudatory name of "wild goose falling". Married to the foreign lands, Wang Zhaojun was always dreaming about the beautiful scene of the hometown.
After leaving Zigui, we were bused into the mountains. Towering cliffs were all around. The car drove on the steep and winding roads. Looking out of the window, you saw the picturesque mountains. The pleasant green intoxicated us. A gentle breeze blew, and trees swayed, as if they were saying hello to us.
Before we knew it, the so-called first drifting river of China -- "Jiuwanxi" -- appeared in front of us. We couldn't help being excited, and wore the protecting equipment as quickly as possible. Dozens of two-person boats floated down the river instantly. There was a rapid at the beginning. Water sprayed up to our faces. The boat was filled with water. Our clothes and shoes were all wet that we were so cold. There was a quiet stream after the rapids. We looked back and saw other colleagues screaming. How adventurous!
We paddled the boat, enjoying the scenery along the way. There were a continuous stretch of steep mountains on both sides. Seen from afar, the mountains were misty, hazy and dreamlike. Seen closer, the mountains were magnificent, making us feel the charm of the nature. There were a series of dangerous shoals after a calm, which made us difficult to breath. Waves splashed one by one. Our boat was like a piece of leaf in the waves, shaking ups and downs, almost out of control. The sound of water, the cries of men, and the screams of women well illustrated the saying "men laugh, women scream"!
When the three hours of thrilling journey ended, the guys were tired but still fascinated. They talked with each other about their feelings and what had happened during their drifting.
After the stimulating drifting, we visited the Three Gorges Falls. The waterfall is about 102 meters high and 80 meters width, which is very spectacular. It reminded us of the poem of Libai -- The waters cascade down from three thousand chi above, like the heaven's silver river dropping from the top. The waterfall looked like a large landscape painting, if you neglected the sound. Mists swirled around the waterfall, making it look mysterious.
The clever craftsmen had built a road under the waterfall. The tourists wearing raincoats passed through the waterfall from the path. The water scattered on the body, making us directly feel the magnificence of the waterfall. Screams echoed in the mountains. There is nothing better than to relax. The work fatigue disappeared in such beautiful scenery.
We enjoyed everything here, such as the towering mountains, the breathtaking drift, and the natural folk custom. We were so unwilling to get back.
