Image	IHC image of CSB-PA617840LA01HU diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human endometrial cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.

Participates in processes of transmission and amplification of the visual signal. cGMP-PDEs are the effector molecules in G-protein-mediated phototransduction in vertebrate rods and cones.

Gene References into Functions

These findings add PDE6H to the set of genes involved in autosomal-recessive cone disorders and demonstrate the importance of the inhibitory gamma subunit in cone phototransduction PMID: 22901948
Our results indicate that mutations in the PDE6H gene are not common, because only 1 of 240 patients with cone dystrophy showed a single nucleotide substitution in the 5' UTR of PDE6H mRNA PMID: 15629837
