Target Background

Function

Catalyzes the hydrolysis of 6-phosphogluconolactone to 6-phosphogluconate. Involved in the regulation of cellular redox state; enzymatic activity is required for this function. Required for sugar-dependent expression of nitrate assimilation genes in the nucleus of root cells.
