Target Background

Function

Dephosphorylates several organic phosphate monoesters including monophosphate nucleotides (NMPs), coenzyme A (CoA), nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP), flavin mononucleotide (FMN) and phosphorylated 5-6 carbon sugars in vitro. Also has a phosphotransferase activity catalyzing the transfer of low-energy phosphate groups from organic phosphate monoesters to free hydroxyl groups of various organic compounds.
