Description

The ARP5 polyclonal antibody is developed through sequential immunizations of a rabbit with recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae (strain ATCC 204508 / S288c) (Baker's yeast) ARP5 protein (511-755aa). Once an effective antibody titer is achieved, the rabbit is bled, and antibodies are purified from the serum using affinity chromatography. Two applications ELISA and WB have been used in assays to test for the specificity of this ARP5 antibody. The ARP5 antibody shows specific reactivity towards Saccharomyces cerevisiae (strain ATCC 204508 / S288c) (Baker's yeast) ARP5 protein.

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae ARP5 is a crucial component of the INO80 chromatin-remodeling complex, which is instrumental in dynamically altering chromatin structure. ARP5 contributes to the regulation of gene expression, DNA repair, and DNA replication by participating in the repositioning of nucleosomes and the modulation of histone-DNA interactions. ARP5's roles in DNA repair processes contribute to the maintenance of genomic stability. ARP5 has implications for cell cycle progression by influencing chromatin dynamics during DNA replication and cell division.
