Target Background

Function
Transcription factor involved in the regulation of root hair elongation. Does not seem to be a direct transcriptional target of RHD6 and RSL1. Involved in the regulation of root hair elongation in response to low phosphate.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Results suggest that OBF BINDING PROTEIN4 (OBP4)-mediated transcriptional repression of ROOT HAIR DEFECTIVE6-LIKE2 (RSL2) promoter to repress RSL2 contributes to the abscisic acid (ABA)-dependent inhibition of root hair growth. PMID: 28167701
Subcellular Location
Nucleus.
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in roots. Expressed in root epidermal hair cells.
