Target Background

Function

Participates in Wnt signaling. Plays a complex role in regulating the basal catalytic activity of the alpha subunit. Modulates two aspects of male mating behavior; response to hermaphrodite contact and vulval location, acting in the same pathway as lov-1 and pkd-2.

Data show that DEAD-box RNA helicase, CGH-1/DDX6, as a key casein kinase II (CK2) substrate and phosphorylation of a conserved N-terminal serine is required for CGH-1 function in the microRNA (miRNA) pathway. PMID: 26669440
kin-10, which encodes the beta subunit of protein kinase CK2, is a novel factor regulating stem cell proliferation in the C. elegans germ line. PMID: 24824786
