Function

Involved in endocytosis positive regulation. Acts in early endocytic membrane fusion and membrane trafficking of recycling endosomes. Confers salt tolerance.

Gene References into Functions

Data demonstrate herein that transgenic plants over expressing EHD1 possess enhanced tolerance to salt stress, a property which also requires an intact EH domain. PMID: 23342166
EHD1/At3G20290 is involved in endocytosis, and downregulation inhibits endocytosis. Overexpression had no effect. PMID: 18547399
