Target Background

Function
Involved in RNAi-dependent heterochromatin formation and centromeric silencing. Required for the conversion of centromeric pre-small interfering RNA transcripts into small interfering RNAs, histone H3 'Lys9' methylation, and the recruitment of the RITS complex to centromeric sequences.
