Target Background

PPIases accelerate the folding of proteins. FK506- and rapamycin-binding protein. Specifically binds nuclear localization sequences. May be involved in the assembly or folding of ribosomal proteins.
Gene References into Functions
  1. The FK506 binding protein Fpr3 prevents premature adaptation to damage and thus serves to maintain recombination checkpoint activity. PMID: 16179256
Subcellular Location
Nucleus, nucleolus.
Protein Families
FKBP-type PPIase family, FKBP3/4 subfamily
