Target Background

Function

Minor component of the RACK1 regulatory proteins that play a role in multiple signal transduction pathways. Involved in multiple hormone responses and developmental processes. MAPK cascade scaffolding protein involved in the protease IV and ArgC signaling pathway but not the flg22 pathway.

Gene References into Functions

RACK1 may be required for normal production of 60S and 80S ribosomes and that its action in these processes may be regulated by abscissic acid. [RACK1B] PMID: 21098678
RACK1B (At1g48630) is functionally equivalent to RACK1A, and is positively regulated by other RACK1 genes. PMID: 18947417
