Target Background

Function
Acts as a transcriptional regulator. May mediate transcriptional activation by binding to the E-box motif 5'-CANNTG-3'. Required for the correct morphology, terminal identity and function of the ADL sensory neurons by controlling the expression of the ADL-specific gene repertoire, including chemoreceptor encoding genes, ion channel encoding genes, neuropeptides and the neurotransmitter eat-4. Regulates the expression of the srh-234 chemoreceptor encoding gene in the ADL neurons under feeding conditions. Plays a role in the chemorepulsive response toward ascaroside pheromones mediated by the ADL sensory neurons.
Subcellular Location
Nucleus.
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in the ADL sensory neurons.
