Target Background

Function

Involved in the spatial control of cytokinesis by a proper phragmoplast guidance. Localizes TAN to the cortical division sites (CDS) during cytokinesis via direct binding.

Gene References into Functions

In contrast to pok1 pok2 mutants, phgap1 phgap2 double mutants show moderate cell wall positioning defects as a consequence of inaccurate positioning of the cortical division zone marker POK1. We conclude that loss of PHGAP function interferes with division plane selection in proliferative cell divisions. PMID: 27501519
POK1 and POK2 participate in the spatial control of cytokinesis, perhaps via an interaction with the Arabidopsis TAN1 homolog, ATN. [POK1] PMID: 16682350
