Function

Cytokinin-activating enzyme working in the direct activation pathway. Controls the shoot meristem activity. Phosphoribohydrolase that converts inactive cytokinin nucleotides to the biologically active free-base forms. Reacts specifically with cytokinin nucleoside 5'-monophosphates, but not with di- or triphosphate.
