May select specific target apoproteins to which a Fe-S cluster produced by the cytosolic iron-sulfur (Fe-S) protein assembly (CIA) pathway is transferred.

  1. Study reveals that MET18 mutation caused DNA hypermethylation at more than 1000 loci, of which about 70% were overlapped with the ROS1 targeted loci, indicating a same genetic pathway. Results show that MET18 regulates active DNA demethylation by affecting the enzymatic activity of the ROS1/DME family proteins. Thus, MET18 can regulate both active DNA demethylation and DNA methylation pathways in Arabidopsis. PMID: 27193999
