Function

Required in the M3 pharyngeal motor neuron to guide the growth cone of the sister M2 motor neuron during axon development.

Gene References into Functions

Study found that mnm-2 enhances the effects of many growth cone guidance mutations on these axons, suggesting that it performs a novel function during axon guidance; mnm-2 encodes a protein related to the Kruppel-like Factor protein family. PMID: 17916347
