Probable transcription factor that involved in boundary specification, meristem initiation and maintenance, and organ patterning. Functions in both lateral organ separation and axillary meristem formation, in part through genetic interaction with the NAC domain genes CUC2 and CUC3 and the homeobox gene STM. May be recruited by a variety of developmental programs for the development of floral organs and the initiation of ovule outgrowth.
