Target Background

Function

Antimicrobial peptides that have antibacterial activity against the Gram-negative bacteria S.marcescens. Has antifungal activity against D.coniospora. May play a role in response to physical injury and osmotic stress.

The authors demonstrated a specific role for hsp-3 in the regulation of nlp-29 after infection that is not shared with hsp-4. PMID: 22546897
