Description

The polyclonal antibody against PEN1 can be generated by immunizing a rabbit with the recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana PEN1 protein. After collection from the rabbit serum, the PEN1 antibody is purified using protein A/G. This PEN1 antibody is specifically designed for detecting the PEN1 protein of Arabidopsis thaliana and can be used in ELISA and WB applications.

The main function of the Arabidopsis thaliana PEN1 protein is to mediate the fusion of plant endomembrane compartments during defense responses against microbial pathogens. PEN1 is a syntaxin protein that is involved in the formation of specialized membrane structures called the "papillae" at the site of attempted pathogen penetration. PEN1 plays a crucial role in plant defense by regulating the secretion of antimicrobial compounds and the reinforcement of cell walls.
