Function

Acts as a component of the auxin efflux carrier. Involved in the basipetal polar auxin transport which contributes to the spreading growth of the tillers.

The rice OsPIN2 overexpression line OX1 reduced morin staining of cytosolic aluminum, enhanced FM 4-64 staining of membrane vesicular trafficking in root tip sections (0-1mm), and showed morin-FM 4-64 fluorescence overlap. PMID: 26254327
