Target Background

Function

Required for initiation of translation of the COX1 coding region. Also involved in the stability of the intron containing transcript of COX1.

Gene References into Functions

Results demonstrate that Pet309 interacts with the COX1 mRNA and that this interaction is independent of the presence of active ribosomes. PMID: 25181249
Cbp1-Pet309 complex contains several message-specific RNA binding proteins and links transcription to translation of the mRNAs at the membrane PMID: 15047869
These results show that the RNA metabolism function of Pet309 is found in at least two separate domains of the protein. PMID: 18039654
