Function
Possibly has a role in RNA transcription or processing during stress. Binds RNAs and DNAs sequence with a preference to single-stranded nucleic acids. Displays strong affinity to poly(U) sequence. Involved in C-to-U editing of mitochondrial RNA. Functions as major mitochondrial editing factor. Controls 44 percent of the mitochondrial editing sites.
