Target Background

Function
Mediates tolerance to oxidative stresses (e.g. hydrogen peroxide H(2)O(2), diamide, menadione and tert-butyl hydroperoxide) by minimizing the negative effects of oxidation and monitoring photosynthesis during stress. Promotes root development. Prevents premature aging (e.g. senescence and flowering). Involved in resistance against compatible pathogens such as Botrytis cinerea and Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato.
