Function

Regulator of calcium-activated channel Slo. Increases or decreases the voltage sensitivity of Slo, depending on the absence or presence of 14-3-3-zeta in the complex, respectively.

SLOB57 is expressed prominently in adult PI neurons, whereas larval motor neurons exclusively express SLOB71. In contrast, at the larval neuromuscular junction, SLOB57 expression appears to be restricted mainly to a subset of glial cells. PMID: 24133277
