Target Background

Function

Negative regulator of effector-triggered immunity associated with the EDS1 resistance pathway. May localize its interactors to a microsomal membrane. May therefore negatively regulate RPS4 and SNC1 translocation to the nucleus. Contributes to the regulation of RPS2 and RPS4 protein levels and negatively regulates SNC1 stability.

Gene References into Functions

This finding suggests a novel form of resistance in Arabidopsis to the biotrophic pathogen H. schachtii or a root-specific regulation of the salicylic acid pathway by EDS1, and places SRFR1 at an intersection between multiple defence pathways. PMID: 26310916
SRFR1 has a role in regulating effector-triggered immunity via transcriptional control. PMID: 24689742
Mutations in SRFR1 activates SNC1 and contributes to resistance to the bacterial effector AvrRps4. PMID: 21079790
SRFR1 is a single-copy gene encoding a conserved tetratricopeptide repeat protein, and is a negative regulator of effector-triggered immunity to avrRps4. PMID: 18774967
