Target Background

Function
Probable inactive ADP-ribosyltransferase that functions with RCD1 to regulate oxidative stress, hormonal and developmental responses. May regulate some stress-responsive genes. Seems to play a smaller developmental role than R.
Gene References into Functions
  1. RCD1 and SRO1 are also necessary for proper cell differentiation. PMID: 21172813
  2. RCD1 and SRO1 are required for the proper development of Arabidopsis in an unequally redundant manner. PMID: 19548978
  3. This study shows that RCD1 and SRO1 are at least partially redundant and that they are essential genes for plant development. PMID: 19625634
Subcellular Location
Nucleus matrix. Note=Speckle-like pattern.
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in young developing tissues, such as young leaves and flowers and root tips. In mature plants, expressed in vasculature of leaves and roots.
