Target Background

Function
Involved in sterol-regulated ubiquitination and degradation of HMG-CoA reductase HMGCR. Involved in positive regulation of AMPA-selective glutamate receptor GRIA2 recycling to the cell surface. Acts as negative regulator of hepatocyte growth during regeneration.; May contribute to the regulation of translation during cell-cycle progression. May contribute to the regulation of cell proliferation. May be involved in centrosome assembly. Modulates stabilization and nucleolar localization of tumor suppressor CDKN2A and enhances association between CDKN2A and NPM1.
Gene References into Functions
  1. HOPS has distinct, isoform-specific functions in the nucleolus, nucleus, and cytoplasm. PMID: 24240191
  2. HOPS acts as a functional bridge in the interaction between NPM and p19(Arf) PMID: 22890319
  3. results implicate Tmub1 in the regulation of locomotor activity and wakefulness and suggest that Tmub1 binds to and functions together with CAMLG PMID: 20582322
  4. HOPS is involved in centrosome assembly and maintenance. PMID: 18418082
  5. transmission; it contributes to maintain the synaptic surface number of the GluR2-containing AMPARs by facilitating the recycling of GluR2 to the plasma membrane PMID: 18665261
