Target Background

Function
Probably acts as a transcriptional activator. Binds to the GCC-box pathogenesis-related promoter element. May be involved in the regulation of gene expression by stress factors and by components of stress signal transduction pathways. May regulate negatively the transition to flowering time and confers flowering time delay.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Here, we demonstrate that miR172-mediated repression of the TARGET OF EAT 3 (TOE3) gene is critical for floral patterning in Arabidopsis. PMID: 24388512
Subcellular Location
Nucleus.
Protein Families
AP2/ERF transcription factor family, AP2 subfamily
