Target Background

Function
Substrate recognition component of a SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. Probably recognizes and binds to phosphorylated target proteins. May participate in Wnt signaling.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Promoter elements of positive and negative transcriptional control were identified. PMID: 15246538
  2. Strong ERK activation can target Cdc25A for degradation in a manner similar to, but independent of, Chk1 for cell cycle arrest. PMID: 19244340
