Transcriptional activator of glycolytic gene expression, such as enolase genes (ENO1 and ENO2), glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase gene (TDH), phosphoglycerate kinase (PGK1), phosphoglycerate mutase (PGM1), pyruvate kinase (PYK1) and triosephosphate isomerase (TPI1) genes. Binds DNA on E-box motifs: 5'-CANNTG-3'.
