Function
Cysteine protease involved in xylem tracheary element (TE) autolysis during xylogenesis in roots. Participates in micro autolysis within the intact central vacuole before mega autolysis is initiated by tonoplast implosion. Involved in susceptibility to the bacterial plant pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum.
