Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Linearity
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human PRSS7 in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Target Background

Function
(From Uniprot)
Responsible for initiating activation of pancreatic proteolytic proenzymes (trypsin, chymotrypsin and carboxypeptidase A). It catalyzes the conversion of trypsinogen to trypsin which in turn activates other proenzymes including chymotrypsinogen, procarboxypeptidases, and proelastases.
Gene References into Functions
  1. The Y174R variant showed improved specificities for substrates containing the sequences DDDDK (kcat/KM = 6.83 x 106 M-1 sec-1) and DDDDR (kcat/KM = 1.89 x 107 M-1 sec-1) relative to all other enteropeptidase variants reported to date. PMID: 23436726
  2. Enteropeptidase is a gene associated with a starvation human phenotype and a novel target for obesity treatment PMID: 23185382
  3. Human enteropeptidase shows 10x faster kinetics compared to other animal sources but low solubility under low salt conditions. A supercharged variant of enteropeptidase light chain with increased solubility was used for crystallization. PMID: 22488687
