Description

The B2M monoclonal antibody was generated through a hybridoma-based method, which involves immunizing mice with recombinant human B2M protein, isolating B cells from the mouse spleen, fusing these cells with myeloma cells to form hybridomas, and then screening and culturing the hybridomas that produce the B2M antibody. The selected hybridomas were cultured to harvest the B2M monoclonal antibody. The B2M antibody specifically recognizes human B2M protein and can be used for ELISA and IHC applications. It is purified using protein G affinity chromatography to achieve a purity of over 95%.

B2M mainly associates with the heavy chain of the MHC class I molecules on the surface of most nucleated cells, facilitating the presentation of peptide antigens to T-cells, which is critical for the recognition and elimination of foreign pathogens or abnormal cells. Elevated levels of B2M have been related to several diseases, including kidney disease, multiple myeloma, and HIV infection.
