Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

PEX19 serves as a critical cytosolic chaperone and import receptor for peroxisomal membrane proteins, making it indispensable for studying peroxisome biogenesis and associated disorders. This recombinant human PEX19 (aa 2–296, full-length mature protein) carries an N-terminal GST tag and demonstrates confirmed binding to immobilized ABCD1 in a functional ELISA, with an EC50 of 22.96–33.00 µg/ml — providing a reliable basis for protein–protein interaction studies, pull-down assays, and ELISA-based binding screens targeting the PEX19–cargo recognition pathway. Necessary for early peroxisomal biogenesis. Acts both as a cytosolic chaperone and as an import receptor for peroxisomal membrane proteins (PMPs). Binds and stabilizes newly synthesized PMPs in the cytoplasm by interacting with their hydrophobic membrane-spanning domains, and targets them to the peroxisome membrane by binding to the integral membrane protein PEX3.
